Pasta Alla Puttanesca

This recipe started with an advert. An advert for a cooking show called Bitchin Kitchen. The name grabbed my interest. I watched the TV show and really enjoyed it. A similar  recipe to below was on it. The show stars Nadia G putting on an Italian American gangster accent with lame jokes and her pretending to be a hard cool chick cooking lovely looking food. The jokes are lame but the show for some odd reason is great to watch. Each episode has a theme. The theme I took the meal from was cheap eats.

Serves: 2
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

2 garlic cloves, finely sliced
Handful black kualuata olives, chopped up
8 anchovies, finely chopped
½ tsp chilli flakes
1 tbsp capers
1 tsp oregano
Can of chopped tomatoes
200g spaghetti
Salt and black pepper

Boil a kettle
Pour boiled water into a pot.
Add salt to the pot.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan.
Cook the anchovies in a pan for a few minutes until it looks like it is starting to disintegrate.
Add the chilli flakes and garlic and cook for a minute.
Add the chopped tomatoes, capers, oregano and olives.
Cook for 10 minutes to reduce the sauce
Cook the spaghetti in the pot of salted water.
When the spaghetti is al dente, add it to the sauce.
Mix the pasta with the sauce
