Asian Glazed Pork with Noodle Salad


Pork dishes are rare on FADHoppers. I’m not sure why as pork is fantastic. One thing I haven’t mastered yet is crackling. Crackling never turns out quite right.

Other news – Went to Paris recently (post will come out at some point) and  it was my Birthday recently (Yay for my birthday!) I love presents and birthdays!

Quick update on my New Years resolutions – failed one, kept up two, haven’t started the others. I failed learning a new guitar song once a month. I have kept up two so far – going to a restaurant once a month and blog posts once a week!

This pork dish started off with sweet potato mash instead of noodles. Noodles worked a whole lot better! This is a great Asian dish, which is easy to cook and easy to eat!


Serves: 2
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes

2 pork fillets
2 tbsp honey
4 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp ground ginger
½ cabbage, shredded
1 pak choi, shredded
1 carrot, peeled, cut in half and julienned
1 chilli , deseeded and julienned
Thumbsize ginger, peeled and julienned
Good glug of light soy sauce
1 lemon, juice of
Olive oil

Marinade the pork in the honey, 4tbsp of soy sauce and ground ginger for at least 5 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a pan.
Cook the pork in the marinade for 10-12 minutes flipping from time to time, or until cooked through.
Boil water in a kettle and add to a pot.
Cook the noodles in the water for a few minutes.
Heat olive oil in a wok.
Cook the ginger, chilli , cabbage, carrot and pak choi for a few minutes in the wok, until the cabbage has wilted.
Add the noodles to the wok and mix.
Add a good glug of soy sauce.
Take off the heat.
Pour over the lemon juice.
