Watched an episode of UK Masterchef and three contenstants were at a restaurant doing various dishes. One dish was steak with chips and various other things. When he said to toss the chips in garlic butter, I thought – wow, got to do this! I did this! It tastes amazing! Try it now! This idea is so simple. I can’t believe I never thought about it.
Prep Time: 15 mintues
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Salt and black pepper
2 Potatoes, chopped into wedges / chips
Big knob of butter
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
Handful of flat leaf parsley, finely chopped.
Preheat oven to 200 Deg C.
Pour 2 tbsp olive oil in a baking tray and place in the oven for at least 15 minutes.
Par boil the potatoes in seasoned boiled water.
Add the potatoes to the oiled baking tray.
Pour some sea salt over the top
Cook in the oven for 30 minutes, or until cooked.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan.
Season the steaks, both sides
Fry the steak until your liking, flipping every 20 seconds.
Add olive oil to a pot.
Add the butter to the pot.
Melt the butter in the pot.
Pour the garlic butter in a mixing bowl.
Toss the chips through the garlic butter.
Sprinkle over parsley.
