I thought I’d give you a quick update on my new year’s resolutions
Learn a song once a month on guitar – Failed.
I have recently started playing guitar again though! I am enjoying it. I am just struggling to find time to play it.
New starter, dessert or cocktail a week – Failed.
I am doing better than last year in terms of starter, desserts and cocktails but not good enough as once a week.
One restaurant a month – Success (doing way more)
One gig a month – Failed
One band lined up and two comedians lined up for this year so far! I fancy doing Download festival but only for Saturday! I’d love to see Fall Out Boy and Linkin Park performing Hybrid Theory
Didn’t do so well at the resolutions, oh well – on to food!
My girlfriend does awesome egg fried rice – you could be awesome at it too!
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
2 Spring Onions, sliced diagonally
1 carrot, diced
1 chilli, finely chopped
Handful of water chestnuts, sliced
1 pork steak, diced
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tbsp soy sauce
Long grain Rice, cooked
Heat olive oil in a wok.
Cook the spring onions for 30 seconds.
Add the pork and cook for a few minutes, or until brown.
Add the carrot and chilli and cook for a minute.
Add the prawns and peas and cook for a minute or 2, until prawns have turned pink.
Add the rice and mix well.
Add the eggs and continue to stir until egg has been incorporated into rice.
Add the soy sauce and mix.
Take off the heat.
Add seaseme oil
