Before I start this post, I should note this post has themes of an adult nature and should not be seen by children. You may now enjoy the post.
My girlfriend is training to become an accountant and a few weeks ago she had an exam. Afterwards we went out to celebrate the end of the exam – everyone needs an excuse for a celebration.
To celebrate, we went to Angel. We ended up at a bar and had a couple of pints and a snack.
The snack was chips with cheese, kimchi and pulled pork. They were a bit stingy with the pork but the chips were exquisite.
Afterwards we went to another bar for a pint.
Following that, it was time to food. We went to a Mexican restaurant named desperados. We’d been there before and enjoyed it.
We ordered cocktails – can’t remember which cocktails or how they tasted. I think from recollection my girlfriend enjoyed hers and mine was okay. I’d like to point out here I don’t remember the cocktails because they weren’t very rememberable – not because I was drunk.
Anyway, our starters were delicious.
My girlfriend had nachos. Nachos were good. The only downside was they bought the main before we finished the nachos.
I had chorizo in red wine – with a Mexican twist. The Mexican twist was my starter came with tortilla wraps. The starter was delicious.
The main let the restaurant down. I had fajitas which were mediocre made worse by their lousy lame salsa, which cost extra! It tasted bland. My girlfriends main wasn’t much better.
We also had shots of absynth and midori (together) – which we regretted because it cut the night short before we ended up at Slim Jims (one day we will make it!)
The most interesting thing about the restaurant, apart from the shots, was the toilets (enter adult theme). The toilets could only be entered by 18 year olds – they had a children toilet too.
Why was there an 18 year old toilet for men and women (separate) you ask? Because of the art on the walls!
Overall I don’t plan to go to desperados again.
